Wet Homestucks

Yesterday was great!!!
I went to a homestuck meet after hanging out with Emma all morning. We're already becoming bestie friends and I'm so happy.
The meet was at the convention center because apparently they just leave it open and you can hang out in there??? (there's security but yeah)
so we all hung out and I met about 14 new friends. It was great because there was no drama and everyone was super fun and nice and generous and someone bought all of the faygo that the gas station had(I brought back a creme soda one for Emma and it was tasty). We played "Midnight Crew" (mafia) and danced in the pouring rain. We also told stories and then we all went to gameworks. There was a crane game that had mameshiba plushies so we all tried to win them, but only one girl succeeded.
The two people I met that were my favorite were a girl who also went by Kai-we said we were Kai twins and she said she was gonna make me a flower crown c:-and Melissa who was 23 and cosplayed cat Dave and drove me home.
Overall it was super fun and when I got home me and Emma stayed up until almost 1 doing dumb stuff and calling each other dumb.
Off to class!

Middle School?? ??? ??

So a lot of weird drama has been happening with our friend group lately and it's really silly and very middle-school like.
It's not that big a deal to me though because I have friends who are not catty or dramatic that I don't have to worry about~
me and Emma(roomie) have been getting along really well and I'm so excited. She said I was her closest friend so far~ we've already gotten to that point in our friendship where we sabotage each other on Facebook hahaha.
I also became friends with some cool sophomores who cosplay and do Lolita and are both design majors like me. I hung out with them late tonight and we talked about a lot of fun stuff.~
I also went to the international district and there's an amazing store there with Asian groceries and a giant bookstore!
today we went thrift shopping and I got a sweater to use for my deer Halloween costume.
I've made a lot of friends, so despite the weird drama going on I'm sure I'll be able to avoid it and be happy with everything else.
Tomorrow I'm going to a homestuck meet! I can't wait!

Slow Sunny Sundays

Today was a good day. This morning I took a walk through the park by my dorm, it was nice. Also I got all my art supplies and I sat around a lot being lazy. I got to talk to a few people back in Arizona which was so much fun. I hope to do another soon with more friends. I also continued my job applications and I am going to go to the Disney store this week with friends(and to get an application).
Me and my roommate had a lot of fun tonight being dumb on the Internet, it was quite entertaining.
Tomorrow begins my second week of classes and I feel like I've been here forever. I know all my friends pretty well and they're so caring to me and each other and with all the drama that's gone on already it's crazy.
I can't wait to continue my adventures here and to hear about everyone else's as well!

This Past Week

Hello! I haven't posted in a while so I apologize about that.
So much has gone on this week! I started classes on Tuesday and it was a blast. I love my classes. All of my friends have homework so far but I don't, we haven't done much in my classes except establish that we all could make a shape on Illustrator(what a long and boring class wow) but all of our teachers let us call them by their first names and they also don't mind if we draw in class so that's what I've been doing. I also learned that we have a scanner that's free to use and we're getting a 3D Printer!!!

I've also been spending a lot of times with my friends of course. We hang out every night and talk and eat and sing and watch movies. We became friends with a barista at the Starbucks next to our school who's name is Zen and he hangs out with us after work sometimes. Recently though we've been skeptical about his life story and he creeps on my friend Natalie a bit. I've already become pretty protective of my friends especially when we're out at night, and they've started calling me their bodyguard(even though I'm the least threatening person ever). The other day we were sitting outside the dorms and these two guys came over and told us that they had "all the weed". They asked us about ourselves and then after talking to us for a while they gave two of our friends free weed?? What?? Anyways it was kinda frightening but everything was okay. That was also the first time anyone has ever tried to convince me to do drugs(of course I turned them down).

A couple nights ago, it was my friend Emily's 18th birthday and we met up with about 20 other freshman and went to a hookah lounge. I tried some of it and it was interesting. It kinda hurt my chest though, and I don't think I'd do it again. But it was definitely an experience so now I know. On the wall of the lounge(you were allowed to graffiti) there was a big thing that said "Cornish". We also stopped and looked in a sex shop on the way home and there was Iron Man the porn and some sex toys with really really weird slogans that we all laughed about. When we got back me, Emily, and Natalie went and met up with a couple of our friends that we found in their dorm and they were really really really drunk and really really high(gettING FADED). It was really funny and we were going to leave but it was unsafe to leave the two of them alone we decided so we stayed. I found an empty vodka bottle that apparently they had completely drank between the two of them. One kept saying she had glass in her knees and nothing she said made sense. She also ate a birthday candle because she thought it was pop rocks??? The other was mostly okay but she was still pretty loopy and out of it. We had to pick the really crazy one up out of the hallway at one point right before an RA came through, it was scary. Eventually they both passed out and we all left. It was quite the night.

I've also been applying for jobs at a lot of places in the nearby shopping center and I'm going to apply at the Disney Store in Bellevue (which is across the water). It's a 45 minute trip but I don't mind because I'd like to work there very very much. I'm also applying for Forever 21, Gymboree, Papyrus, Barnes and Noble and Victoria's Secret. I might even apply for Brookstone!

I also snuck into PAX last weekend, and I met PeanutButterGamer and got to try Pokemon X and Y. I also wore my unfinished maid dress but it looked cute.~ The conventions center is really pretty, there is a huge public park surrounding it that has a giant "canyon" waterfall. I'll make sure to take pictures to show you guys, it's amazing.

Me and Natalie have decided to be fawns for halloween and it's gonna be so adorable. We just have to find that elusive Goodwill that we keep hearing about.

The weather has been beautiful here and I'm so glad to be here. I've been having some waves of homesickness, I really miss all of you guys. I'm glad to hear that all of my friends have been spending time together though.~ I can't wait to come back and visit! And I also can't wait to have more video calls with everyone.

Truth or Dare

Friday was quite the day. My most interesting college experience to date! The day started with many orientation activities that we didn't want to do but we did anyways. One was a safety seminar and it was all about sexual harassment and we watched a RIDICULOUS video with sexual contracts and sex lawyers.
After orientation me and my friend Melisa went to Whole Foods Market(which is next to our dorm) and they were selling $1 organic lemonades! They were big, too. I got mango and she got regular and then we went to her room to hang out. She made some tea and we drank tea and lemonade while I told her about my friends back in Arizona (and I told her about "jimbles").
Later that night, the school had an event where we got to go out to dessert for free, and we got ice cream on Broadway which is exactly like Mill Ave. I got thin mint and it was so good, but my favorite was my friend's, earl gray. Mmmm. I also learned about a theatre game called big booty which I had a lot of fun playing.
When we got back from ice cream a group of us went to Jacobs room and everyone watched me play Pokemon Snap and scream and they all laughed a lot. Then we all talked a lot and learned more about each other.
After a while there was another game of lap tag which I only really went to because cute people were playing to be honest. I invited our friend Kity and his friends, one of which was a kawaii quiet asian girl from my orientation group that I wanted to befriend.
We played many rounds of lap tag and I even won one time!!! But I ended up with lots of rug burn scars that I still have whoops.
After lap tag we walked back over to our dorm and Kity and his two friends invited us to play truth or dare with them. We went, and there were many new girls I hadn't met yet. So when we got there we introduced ourselves and I met Ellen, Maggie, Lauren, Heather, Violet, Troy, and Natalie(the girl I wanted to froend).
The game of truth or dare was filled with a lot of good questions/dares I'd never heard and it was fun and exciting and of course there were many interesting stories told(especially about sex). Kisses were shared and lap dances were given(which was hilarious) and there were many crazy times had.
Eventually it devolved into just conversation and Natalie and Troy got bored and asked if I wanted to come hang out with them.
We went to Troys room and talked until her and her roommate got tired and me and Natalie went back to Kity's room.
On our way in we saw Heather, Emily and Jacob leaving and they said they were going to look at art in Heathers room.
The rest of us talked for a few hours and realized(around 5 am) that they never came back. We joked about what they """might be doing""" and then me and Natalie decided to go look for them. We ran down the hall and up the stairs and down the hall again and accidentally passed her room, and when we walked back Jacob walked out of her room looking like death. His hair was messy and he had really sagging dark circles under his eyes.
The first thing he did was point out a hickey on his neck and tell us that it was from Emily. Me and Natalie exchanged glances and we headed down the hallway quietly while we asked Jacob what happened. He scream-whispered in response "I almost had a threesome" and me and Natalie tried our hardest not to burst out laughing. We took him back to Kity's with us where he told the whole story, including saying that Kity was a "golden gay man" and that his "penis was screaming". In short, he said they were about to do it but he didnt want to for his reputation's sake(which we knew was a lie). It was quite the story.
All of us girls gathered around a bowl of trail mix and pretended we weren't laughing really really hard, but it eventually became too hard and we went outside to talk and laugh.
While we were out there, Heather came outside and we all surrounded her and asked what the real story was. She told us that what REALLY happened was that her and Emily were just messing with his mind a little(because he had been quite rude through the evening) and eventually Emily left and Heather just went to bed. We were all satisfied with the story and went back to Kity's room where Jacob was passed out on the floor. He woke up a little and everyone left except me, Natalie, and Kity. Me and Natalie slept in Kity's roommate's bed and couldn't hear Jacob very well since the bed is high up, but he continued to talk about nothing (like cats and stuff) for about 20 minutes before we all finally passed out.

Sketchy College Games

Yet another day that felt like a week. We had orientation activities all day and I'm in a group with my friend Melisa. We talked about our weeb days and our first OCs and many other fun things. We had an ice cream social where I hung out with another group that Im friends with(the group I made at registration). After that there were more info sessions and then a pizza party!!! there was white pizza with bacon!!! at the pizza party it started to rain, and everyone ran for cover except me and my friend Emily(who's quickly becoming my best college friend). We walked back to the dorms and our friends ran inside, but me and Emily ran around very excited(I took videos). It rained harder and harder and a few people came outside to play in it too. It was beautiful.
After I changed out of wet clothes, me and Emily went to Jacobs room and played Nintendo 64 and listened to music(a lot of all time low).
We did that until we found out about a cards against humanity game going on so we went and on the way there we invited everyone we saw. there ended up being over 20 people in one dorm. The game lasted from 8 to about 11 and it was super fun.
After that we hung out in the hallway and attracted two girls and two guys and they joined me, Jacob, and Emily and we went outside to hang out and we were joined by yet another guy(a roommate of someone in the group).  We started playing truth or dare after a lot of talking about things like sex and random shows we were interested in and inspiring bras.
I got dared to kiss Emily(who's straight by the way hahaha) and Jacob had to kiss a super gay boy we were with. It was funny and very expected. More funny dares happened and we kept commenting on the sketchiness of college kids playing truth or dare in a parking lot at midnight(hahahha).
We also planned a mean girls party for Sunday night so that will be exciting.
I also found out that Emily and Andrew like One Direction so we're gonna go see the movie together.
This lasted a while and we decided to head in around actual midnight or 12:30.
Me and Jacob walked Emily back to her dorm and on the way out we saw something weird in the lobby so we went in.
They told us they were playing lap tag.
Yes.
Lap tag.
So basically what you do is sit on someone's lap and try to run to the wall, and they try to hold you back. A very personal way to meet people obviously.
Jacob asked if I would play and I really didnt want to roll around on the floor with him so I sat in the lap of a (v attractive) girl I recognized from Facebook. The game was hard but really fun.
We headed back after that and I told my roommate about my day and she told me hers and we laughed about dumb tumblr people and furries. I'm in bed on night two, and I'm going to bed very satisfied with college so far.
Finally, a quote by an awesome presenter we had today:
"don't become a social justice warrior-- those people are the biggest jokes on the planet. it's social justice, not social 'just us'."

Move in and cool kids

Today was 12 days long. I moved
into my dorm this morning and me and my roommate(Emma) are getting along great so far. We had orientation activities and then a mixer where we stood awkwardly until I ran around and made people talk to me and others.~
then Emma's dad took us to whole foods for dinner and it was really good. We had a few hours before anything else so we organized and relaxed~
Then at 10 we had a dance party and I wore that polka dot dress and I got a lot of compliments~~
Me and Jacob and Emily went together, they're my friend group so far give or take a few other friends we've made.
We met a sophomore named Kendall that was really pretty and she danced with us. During (the second) We Can't Stop, she danced on me and I was very surprised. College!
After the dance ended at midnight she invited me to the park to meet her friends so I went. Two were orientation leaders so it was weird but fun too. We talked about fun college experiences that I'm bound to have and then met more
Cornish kids that were hanging out there. It started to rain and me and Kendall were really excited. After about a half hour we all decided to head back and she walked me home to my dorm and asked for my number(I can't text) but we said we'd hang out more this year so I'm excited.
I can't wait to meet even more people tomorrow!
Now it's time to rest my crazily sore feet and legs as well as the rest of me so ill be ready for tomorrow.

Finally

I'm finally here in Seattle! The weather is great and everyone is so nice. I hung out with two freshmen today, and were all in the same major. One was named Jacob and we've been talking on Facebook. He's really nice and we talked a lot about ourselves and our lives and we fangirled/boyed together. We also hung out with a girl named Melisa who I met at registration in July. We geeked out about stuff too, especially cosplay, and I said I'd help her make hers. We hung out from like 7:30 until just now(midnight) so like 5 hours. It was a lot of fun. We also all live in the same dorm so we'll definitely be seeing more of each other. So far they are my new friend group! I can't wait to expand it tomorrow and over the next few days/weeks/months.

When we were walking around Seattle we passed a strip club that had special theatres for gay, bi, and trans, so I though that was really cool.

It still feels so surreal, but by this time tomorrow night I'll be leaving the dance(woo!) and going home to sleep in my new bed. I think it'll really hit me then.

I've also already located the nearest McDonald's.

Anyways, big day ahead! I can't wait!

Growing Up.

I'm growing up today.

Living life means meeting the most wonderful, important people in your life.
Growing up means leaving them behind.

Growing up means packing your entire life in 3 suitcases.

Growing up means learning that people in the real world are not nice,
and growing up means learning how to deal with them.

Growing up means entertaining the possibility that school might not continue past the winter.

Growing up means telling your little sister "be good" for the last time for a long time.

Growing up means sharing last laughs and cuddles and brownies.

Growing up means saying goodbye in the rain.

Growing up means paying close attention to every last thing that happens on that last day.

Growing up means getting life advice.

Growing up means framing memories because growing up means causing the fear that you'll forget.

Growing up means hugging pets and pillows that will be gone in the morning.

Growing up means finally leaving that small awful town to go somewhere you can change the world,
and growing up means looking at yourself in the mirror when you get there and knowing that's exactly what you're going to do.

Growing up means laying in bed in his shirt and her shorts with ghosts of kisses on your cheek and hugs on your waist.

Growing up means pain, but none greater than the pain that will finally be relieved by getting where you were really meant to go.

Today, tomorrow morning, forever, that is what I am doing.
I am growing up.

See you later

I stand in the dark kitchen of my mothers apartment at 11:11 pm eating chocolate and wishing for everyone's happiness. there's only one more day here, in this hot desert state.
this awful place that I hated living in and never wanted to call it my home as a child. the place I grew up and went through the toughest trials of my entire life. the place that I learned, and loved, and grew. I'm here, right now. In that place. And after tomorrow it will no longer be my home. It will never be my home again.
The possession of such a place, a home, is fleeting. That is probably the thing I have lived and learned the most in my last couple of years. But home was always where I was going next. A friend's house, a parent's apartment, a hotel room at a convention... it changed day to day.
And now, a dorm room. A small room with a new friend where I will do all of my sleeping.
But not all of my living. I will have my new city for that.
New people.
New friends means a new family.
But never my only family.
Just another.
The family I have here, back in the desert, will always have been my first real family.
The one I met at school, or on the bus, or at a convention.
They'll always be the dearest to my heart.
And that is why I will always come back.
Until every last one has found their path and moved on, I will come back.
And even then, it won't be over.
Because you'll always have your family.
And they are mine.
I'm not saying goodbye, because it isn't goodbye.
It's only "see you later".

One Week Left

Hey guys, I was going to start on my leaving day but I couldn't wait so I'm posting tonight.
I have one week left in Arizona and then it's goodbye to the desert! I can't wait to get out, but of course I'm also really nervous and afraid. I started packing today (with the moral support of Gillian and my silly little sister) and it's becoming so real to me, but at the same time I feel like it's all a dream.

I'm going to do my best to see friends this week even though I have so much more to do; I have to get glasses, pack my mom's, finish packing at my dad's, make a list of what to ship to the dorm, send in all my stuff to the school.... it will surely be a busy week. But tomorrow I'm visiting NSAA, so watch out for me at lunch my high school friends~

All of this is moving crazy fast and before I know it I'll be settling down to sleep in my new dorm with my new roommate in a new city thousands of miles from here. It'll surely be the adventure of a lifetime.

Intro

Hello friends! I'm going to be using this blog to talk about my experiences in Seattle at Cornish College of the Arts! I can't wait to get there and have exciting adventures, so I'll be updating(and upd9ing, and so on) everyone right here. Check back often to see what I'm up to if you please~

Along with just talking about my life I'm going to try to upload a picture I took each day because I think it'll be really cool to do (let's see if I can keep up with that).

Thanks for caring about my life and check back for more!
